RMB Chivenor Search and Rescue crew called to South Devon tug rescue operation
A Search and Rescue crew from RMB Chivenor joined a mammoth rescue operation to prevent a boat sinking last night.
The incident happened at 9.30pm off Hopes Nose near Torbay in South Devon.

Eight crew members were on the tug Christos 22 which was pulling motor vessel Emsstrom.
The tug's crew were rescued by the RNLI Torbay all-weather lifeboat and the Exmouth all-weather lifeboat.

The search and rescue helicopter hovered above the vessels while the crew winchman was lowered onto the tug to assist in the rescue operation.
The crew arrived back at RMB Chivenor at 12.30am last night.
It is believed the motor vessel had hit the tug causing a crack in its hull.
Divers have been trying to repair the crack while the lifeboat crews have been using pumps to remove the water.
Lisa Ford, from Brixham Coastguard, said this morning: "It is now a salvage operation, with four vessels currently involved.
"We are also waiting on two more tugs from Falmouth, who are the experts on this type of operation.
"The hope is that the damaged tug can be towed to safety, there was a suggestion it could be taken to Portland but that may change."
