Racing trainer Richard Woollacott reaches ten-win target
RACING
RICHARD WOOLLACOTT has reached his goal of ten wins in his first season as a trainer – after just 12 weeks.
The 34-year-old jockey-turned-trainer, based at Nethercott Manor, Rose Ash, celebrated his tenth winner at Hereford on Thursday when Gay Sloane romped home by seven lengths.
Woollacott, the former national point-to-point champion, said: "We set ourselves what we thought was a realistic target of ten winners for our first season training professionally and we've been very fortunate to have a great start with some super-tough horses.
