THE finishing touches are being put to plans to re-launch the Ruby Country project in the Cookworthy Centre near Holsworthy.

The Ruby Country partnership has been given the go ahead by the Forestry Commission to take over the majority of the Cookworthy Forest Centre, near Halwill Junction giving it a firm base in the heart of the Ruby Country.

The teams are crossing the 'i's' and dotting the 't's' on the agreement and the project should launch within the next few weeks.

The Ruby Country is a regeneration project working to boost Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and all the surrounding parishes.

As well as gaining a new base at Cookworthy, the partnership has secured funding to keep it running for the next three years from The Greater Dartmoor Local Enterprise Action Fund, Leader 4 Torridge and the North Devon Local Action Group.
