Russ begins his epic ride
TODAY marks the start of an amazing adventure for one dedicated supporter of North Devon Hospice (assuming you pick up your Journal hot off the press and are reading this on Thursday).
Russ Johns has set himself the daunting challenge of riding solo from Barnstaple to Cape Town on a motorcycle, and he is doing it all in aid of our local hospice.

He will travel through some tough and potentially dangerous terrain, ranging from deserts to tropical rainforests. He is putting himself through this ordeal to raise sponsorship and awareness. He will be visiting a hospice in each of the African countries he passes through, highlighting the plight of the hospice movement which is far less developed on that continent.
