SAVE OUR STATION CAMPAIGN: Are you against proposed cuts at Ilfracombe Fire Station?
The North Devon Journal is launching a campaign to save the daytime manned service at Ilfracombe Fire Station.
In response to Government funding cuts the Devon and Somerset Fire Authority is proposing to turn Ilfracombe station into a 24 hour retained fire station with no full time staff.
-

However, the Journal feels a fully manned station is essential for a town the size of Ilfracombe, particularly given its history of big fires in large Victorian properties.
To support our campaign please enter your details into the form below and we will present a petition opposing the cuts to the Devon and Somerset Fire Authority before its next meeting on Friday, January 18.

“Many including myself voted for Nick Harvey at the last General Election deliberately to keep the Tory out of office in Ilfracomb,a fat lot of good that was,Nick was a Tory ater all,and as such, will rub his hands and say he will do all he can to help us,at the same time as winking to Dopey Dave,as we lose our full time Firemen.”
