A FARM in the heart of rural North Devon might not seem like the obvious place for an up-to-the-minute worldwide movie website to be based.

However, Chulmleigh based IT firm Convallis Software, has created such a site for Exeter film journalist Tim Isaac.

Movie Muser was designed and built at Covallis' headquarters at Waddington Farm, Chulmleigh, and, after being featured on top worldwide film site IMDB.com, received a massive 14,500 hits in 24 hours — just one month after its launch.

Movie Muser founder Tim added: "I've been told endlessly over the years that London is the only place in the UK that can produce successful entertainment journalism.

"However, we have proved that not only can the South West produce top class film writing, but also that Devon also has companies like Convallis with the expertise to build versatile and technically advanced entertainment sites."
