BIG Al And The Bandits hope to have everyone on their feet dancing to jaunty jigs and raucous reels at the Plough's St Patrick's Night Shindig.

For the less energetic there will be a chance to sway to some of Ireland's great classic songs such as The Galway Shawl and Innisfree.

Band member, Tony Dixon, who makes flutes, pipes and whistles, will play haunting tunes on the Irish pipes to accompany Jean Tyler as she reads her own poems alongside verse by Irish poet, Seamus Heaney.

There will also be dance from the Catherine Bartlett School of Irish Dancing in Somerset. Catherine boasts European champions among her dance troupe and promises some great Riverdance-style performances on the night.
