Sam Howard try clinches draw for South Molton against Bideford Harlequins
SAM HOWARD, the South Molton captain, scored a late try to snatch a 15-15 draw in a friendly at Bideford Harlequins.
The forward needed a spell off the field after suffering a knock but he returned to finish off a good move in which Will Davies carved through the defence.
Bideford, unbeaten in second XV matches this season, went 10-0 down against South Molton's high-flying Tribute Devon Two team.
Good handling and strong running was finished off by Davies for the first try, then Luke Doyle showed his strength to score the second.

Bideford slowly got a foothold in the game and Matt Dennis was driven over for a try that was converted by Richard Weston.
Andrew Baxter's try and a Weston penalty put them five points clear in the second half, only for Howard to level the scores.
Alex Hillman was named man of the match for the Harlequins.
Brad Goaman, their manager, said: "It was a great test for our side, we have improved a lot in the last two years."
Gary Bucknell, the South Molton head coach, said: "We had a good game, playing high-risk rugby for 80 minutes."
