“It remains a mystery in spite of the time and money and goodworks put into the club why Barum, a town of 40,000 people and a locality of nearly 60,000. Remain year in year out at the lower end of the league and the attendance at matches is so low. Apart, from seasonal local derbies. Dodgy managers aside it is a lovely tidy and compact little ground. Steve James has put a lot into the club because it is his home town team. He has local pride, so should more people, more money on the gate, means more money to keep players and maintain a decent side. Instead, of losing against village teams from outside of Bristol or Exeter. Up the town!”
