The 40 to 50 age group was competitive.
In the women's section, Dawlish's Clare Frank and Saunton's Georgina Martin battled it out in most of the events except the manikin tow where Lara Rousseau, of Woolacombe, won ahead of Liz Greenaway (Croyde) in second and Helen Roberts (Woolacombe) in third.
The top positions were shared by the clubs in the men's group.
Kevin Davies, in his first competition for Woolacombe, had some great results, including second in the manikin tow.
Kath Patten, Saunton's joint team manager, said: "It was a great opportunity to put into practice many of the skills we have learnt over the winter.
"The day came to a wonderful conclusion when, in true surf lifesaving spirit, the clubs mixed up their teams and joined together for a fun board-relay race."
Patten and fellow manager George Martin thanked all the competitors, helpers and Dave Worms, who has coached the masters over the winter.
Saunton's sights are now set on defending their national title in Bath in April.
