School invests in languages
SUMMER building work at a Barnstaple school has led to the opening of a new set of classrooms.
The modern foreign languages building at The Park Community School was officially opened by North Devon MP Nick Harvey. The project cost £750,000 and consists of six new classrooms and a computer room.

The centre completes an almost £7 million building programme to improve the school's facilities.
Head teacher David Atton said: "All pupils study both Spanish and French from Year 7, with the opportunity to begin German too for GCSE.
