Seal spotted in boats at Fremington Quay in North Devon
A SEAL found its way out of deep water and proved this isn't necessarily a man's world this week, when it commandeered a boat at Fremington Quay.
The seal was first spotted taking charge of the vessel last Wednesday and was captured on camera by Peter Morris on Saturday.
Peter's wife Janet, who lives with him on Fremington Quay, said she had first seen the piratical seal on Wednesday.
"I was pulling out of the drive when a lady stopped me and said there was an otter stuck on a boat," she said.

"I looked over and thought it was a bit big for an otter, but I couldn't stop as I was in a rush."
Janet and Peter got a closer look the following day when the seal was back again.
"We realised it was a seal and he was happily in and out of the water," she said. "He wasn't stuck at all."
And when the seal returned again on Saturday Peter, a keen photographer, popped outside with his Canon EOS 400D camera to snap a shot of the slippery customer.
"He doesn't seem to be scared of people," said Janet. "There were quite a lot of people taking photos and he wasn't fazed."
Janet and Peter haven't seen the seal since but hope he'll be back soon.
"He does seem to like that boat best," said Janet. "Maybe because it's got a blanket in the back, so maybe he'll be back again later this week."
