AUTHOR: Lorna Page released her second novel at the age of 94
Lorna hit the national headline after releasing the mystery novel Dangerous Weakness last year.
She bought a five bedroom house in the village, near her birth place of Bideford, after securing an advance for her first book.
The widow invited her friends to live in her house, which she bought so she could spend her last years in a sociable environment.
One 79-year-old woman spent a month typing in Lorna's Weare Giffard guest room in the mornings and the pair discussed writing and ideas together over tea each afternoon.
She said: "It has been an extraordinary adventure and it gave me a reason to keep going."
Lorna wishes older people felt more important.
She said: "Everyone has a skill, no matter what their body is.
"After my novel came out I got letters from all over the world from older people like me who wanted to write too."
Lorna also has a life-long ambition to skydive, but at 94 was forbidden to do so by her doctor.
She said: "If you leave things too long, it's too late.
"This year I'm hoping to go into nursing homes to help some residents capture their precious memories before it's too late. Everyone has a story to tell."
The grandmother wrote her first book Dangerous Weakness four years ago, but made no attempt to get it published until her son and daughter-in-law found the manuscript and convinced her to send it to a publishing house.
