IF YOU missed the snowdrop show last weekend you can make amends this Sunday — and soak up the delights of three gardens for the price of one.

The triple treat is again at Cherubeer, two miles east of Dolton, which is a hamlet of three houses owned by members of the same family.

On Sunday (1pm-4pm) Jo and Tom Hynes are opening their gates to the public for National Gardens Scheme charities when hundreds of delightful galanthus — the Latin name for the species — will be nodding their heads in the February air.

Jo, a self-confessed galanthophile, will be serving soup and home-made teas, as well as offering plants, including named snowdrops and cyclamen, for sale. Keep your eyes open for a host of hellebores, as well as other early spring serenaders.

Cherubeer, along with neighbouring Higher and Middle Cherubeer, is reached by turning off at the Stafford Moor Fisheries junction between Dolton Beacon and Winkleigh. If the weather is dubious, call Jo or Tom on 01805 804265 to ensure the event is still on. Entry is £3.50 for all three gardens.
