St Michael’s Nursery to open new nursery in Sticklepath Christian Science building
St Michaels Nursery will be opening a second nursery and pre-school centre later this year after acquiring the former Christian Science building in Sticklepath.
The nursery has bought the building, which was on the market for £395,000, just a year after being re-formed.
The original Nursery will remain open at Tawstock Court and the new nursery at Sticklepath will give parents the options of a rural setting or the convenience of a central location.
Gordon Gurr, the nursery's director, said the board has had its eye on the property for some time.

"We'd identified it as an ideal location," he said. "It was previously under offer but when it came back onto the market we put in an offer."
And with work already under way at the site Mr Gurr said the nursery should be open at the beginning of May.
"It'll offer the same all round and family centred care that has become the local benchmark for excellence in nursery care," he said.

“I hope the Christian Science people have nothing to do with the nursery, that would be extremely dangerous for the children.”

“Good idea. Create more traffic chaos with extra vehicles trying to enter and exit a difficult entrance at the same time as the normal rush hour periods.”
