Students join in singalong
THERE was an enthusiastic group of more than 30 singers ranged around the community centre piano on Tuesday afternoon, for Christine Cleverdon's first Singalong session of the year.
It's one of those comforting occasions when you can enjoy singing, even if you're not in the same class as Katherine Jenkins.
No one cares if you make a mistake, because this is singing for fun – lots of old favourites that you can either belt out or mumble, and most of all enjoy.
"Leave those pernicious high notes to the person next to you," Christine suggested.

The group was joined on Tuesday by a group of Okehampton College students and members of the Memory Café, who they had been visiting. Roger Bowden gave a lusty rendering of Devon, Glorious Devon and Jackie Kenny performed two beautiful flute solos.
The next of these enjoyable sessions is on Tuesday, March 5, and everyone is welcome, whatever their age or singing ability.
