Surprise results in Ilfracombe and District Pool League

IT WAS a week of surprises in the Ilfracombe and District League – topped by a first defeat of the season for Headhunters and a first win for The Brit.
In the biggest upset of the season so far, Sankers won 3-2 against previously undefeated Headhunters in the premier league.
Alan Hunt, Andy Kirk and Richard Hopson gave the struggling St George's team an unbeatable 3-0. Mike Kenton had an eight-ball clearance for Sankers before losing.

Matt Rogers and Paul Wright, from Nice Rack, had eight-ball clearances in a 4-1 win against Ere for the Beer.
First division pacesetters Buddy's Buddies and Sandpiper PPP both suffered setbacks at home.
Super Teds beat the Buddies 3-2 thanks to Tim Aston, Ed Guinan and Scott Wain.
Rich Hewitt, Kevin Webb and Paul Beer saw DJ's Dirty Dawgs to a 3-2 win over PPP.
In the second division, The Brit gained their first win of the season at the 14th attempt. Graham Tucker, Dave Clift and Richard Wheeler saw them to a 3-2 victory over Irene's Lovers.
