TAW VALLEY came up against one of their toughest opponents this season as they travelled to Weston-super-Mare.

But they still emerged with a 3-2 victory, extending their winning run to 11 matches in the West Clubs Women's League.

Charlotte Beauchamp scored two as Taw twice came from behind to remain six points clear at the top of the Sedgemoor first division table.

Taw started on the back foot and Weston were soon awarded a penalty corner, from which they managed to gain the lead.

The visitors found their feet but, after several missed opportunities, the first half ended 1-0.

Charlotte Beauchamp, Taw's player of the match, got a deflection off the keeper to level the scores, only for Weston to regain the lead after a charge down the left wing.

That second goal doubled the number Taw had conceded all season, but they showed determination to come back.

After winning several penalty corners, Jo Yeaxlee-Batch found the back of the net from a nice link-up with Helen Johnson.

Taw continued to raise their game and good play through the middle by Keely Jones and Sally Langford allowed Sarah Thomas to cross for Beauchamp to score the winner.
