Teenager runs over friend's foot
A 16-year-old who ran over his friend's foot tried placing the blame on his victim.
The teenager was riding a moped along the road in the Braunton area on September 8 last year when he mounted the pavement and ran over his female friend's foot.
He then went to the police station to report his crime at around 9.30pm but said his friend had been jumping into the road which is why he had hit her.
But after police interviewed witnesses it transpired the 16-year-old had been driving on the pavement.

Bruising was caused to the girl's foot and her shoes and phone were also damaged.
The teenager pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. North Devon magistrates heard he was doing well at college and needed a scooter to get there for his studies.
He was given three penalty points, a fine of £40 and a victim surcharge of £15.
