Both Bideford – who were due to visit Redditch United – and Tiverton, bound for Shortwood United, had their Saturday fixtures postponed due to the wintry weather.

Taunton Town, scheduled to travel to Merthyr Town tomorrow, did manage to play but could not stop in-form Yate Town from extending their unbeaten run to 10 with a 2-1 home win at Lodge Road.

The Bluebells – who have won eight of those ten matches – led 2-0 before Simon Ingram scored a 67th-minute goal for Taunton.

The Western League suffered another spate of postponements, although Larkhall Athletic qualified for the last 16 of the FA Carlsberg Vase following a 2-1 home win over Peacehaven and Telscombe after sweeping their Plain Ham pitch clear of snow.

Basement side Barnstaple Town suffered a 6-1 home reverse against visitors Odd Down. Jed Harper-Penman scored Barum's consolation goal from a penalty.

Buckland Athletic drew 0-0 at mid-table rivals Melksham Town while Ilfracombe Town lost 3-1 at Winterbourne United, where Ryan Turner levelled the scores at 1-1 for the Bluebirds.

Weather permitting, Buckland will host Ilfracombe on Wednesday evening.
