THE owner of a Town Centre newsagent has taken on the delivery rounds of a Whiddon Valley newsagent which shut its doors on Monday.

Whiddon Valley Newsagent closed down without warning on Monday but Peter Richardson, who runs Northgate News on Mermaid Walk, has already stepped into the gap created in the market and says he is ready to start delivering papers to Whiddon Valley Newsagent customers already.

"I already deliver all over the town," he said, "and even as far as Croyde.

"I think you just can't wait long. People want their papers and I want to make sure they get them."
