UPDATE: Man may need finger amputated after crash on A388 near Monkleigh
A man was taken to hospital for a possible finger amputation following a crash near Monkleigh yesterday.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene just before 3pm.

A family of six including a female driver, a male and four children were travelling in the Ford Galaxy when it crashed on the A388 between Monkleigh and the turning off to the A386.
The vehicle rolled off the road on to a verge and landed on its roof.

The road was only partially blocked while police attended.
The car is registered to a local address.
The woman and four children were taken home while the male passenger was taken to North Devon District Hospital with a finger injury.
The road was cleared by 4.15pm.
