UPDATED: Rolling road closure on A361 near Tiverton while Chinook helicopter lands
Rolling road closures will be in place on the A361 North Devon Link Road today to allow a Chinook helicopter to land to collect a large pump from the collapsed Grand Western Canal site.
The military helicopter was initially due to land yesterday but the flight had to be called off due to fading light.

The Chinook is expected to land in the area today to lift the pumps from a flooded field near Halberton.
The huge pumps were placed in the field and used to drain a giant lagoon which formed after last week's breach in the canal.

The lagoon is now significantly lower after water was pumped one and a half miles away to a secure section of the canal.
The Chinook will attempt to winch the pumps onto nearby lorries later this afternoon.
Police will be controlling a rolling road block on the link road to enable the mission to be carried out.
It comes as Devon County Council confirmed water levels at the canal were dropping and no longer pose a significant safety risk to members of the public.
