Although this is the first time William has been deployed during the festive period, he has already had experience spending the festive period away from home.
He said: “The first Christmas I didn’t go home was when I was working at the duty watch in Portsmouth.
“This year it’s harder because I won’t actually see them until March. It will be fun on board though. The officers will be serving us dinner for a change.”

“Hi everyone, it's good that the video got around, alot of effort went into it so it's good to see. We are in the Falkland's now for Christmas and New Year, I think we are having better weather then you back in England! We hit the half way mark of the deployment on Christmas Eve, see you all soon and thanks for the support! Will”
