FIREFIGHTERS were called after a van caught on fire in Northam this morning.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a report that smoke was billowing out from a van in Churchill Way at around 9.20am.

A fire engine from Appledore attended.

The crew found there had been a small fire in the engine compartment which was now out and they checked the vehicle was now safe.
