Weston sin-binnings 'didn't do us any favours', says Barnstaple's Kevin Squire
KEVIN SQUIRE felt the three yellow cards shown to Weston-super-Mare players in the first half of Saturday's National Three south west match did his Barnstaple side no favours.
Barum were on top and pushing to extend a 10-7 lead when prop David Swann became the third Weston forward in seven minutes to be sin-binned.

But Barnstaple were unable to take advantage, failing to score while their opponents were down to 12 men.
They felt they were not helped by referee Richard Harding's decision to call uncontested scrums even though Weston still had three front-row forwards available.

"The sin-binnings and uncontested scrums didn't do us any favours," said director of rugby Squire, whose side were eventually beaten 31-13.
"We lost momentum. We were doing great without the sin-binnings."
Barnstaple led 13-12 at half time but lost their discipline – and the match – in the second half.
James Mackay, the Weston fly half, kicked four penalties and they sealed the win with a late try from hooker Dave Burge.
"Our discipline cost us in the second half," said Squire. "The better side won. They made us concede penalties because they had front-foot situations."
