Westward Ho! man appears in court on child porn charges

A 74-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with making and possessing more than 600 child porn images.

David John Levick, of Westward Ho!, appeared at North Devon Magistrates' Court today.

He pleaded guilty to six charges of making indecent photographs of a child and four charges of possessing indecent photographs of a child.

The images varied in content from category one, the lowest type of image, to category five which is deemed to be the most offensive.

Levick, who stood emotionless in the dock wearing a white shirt and striped tie, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.

The case was sent for sentencing at Exeter Crown Court on March 1. Levick was released on unconditional bail.
