Woman charged with theft and robbery following Ilfracombe mugging
A woman appeared in court today in connection with an incident in Ilfracombe in which a woman had her handbag and a substantial amount of cash stolen.
Lorraine Joanne Morris, 43, of Green Close Road, Ilfracombe, has been charged with theft and robbery following the incident in the High Street at around 8.30am on Monday.

Morris was arrested shortly after the incident and questioned by detectives before being charged yesterday.
She appeared at North Devon Magistrates' Court this morning and was remanded in custody. No bail application was submitted.

Morris, who appeared in court behind a glass screen wearing a black shirt and black trousers, was charged with robbing Mary Sarsfield of £250 and having a blade in a public place.
She was also charged with theft of a Lloyds TSB bank card belonging to Pauline Morris, theft of sandwiches from McColls in Ilfracombe and five charges of fraudulently using a stolen debit card to withdraw cash.
The case will next be heard at Exeter Crown Court on December 7.
