Woman shaken up after flipping her car on snowy road near Ilfracombe
A WOMAN who flipped her car in snowy conditions near Ilfracombe says the experience has left her extremely shaken up.
Emily Beer, 24, from Braunton, wrote off her £8,000 black Ford Fiesta after another driver swerved towards her on the B3343 between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe on Friday evening.

Emily, who was on her way to Woolacombe, said the roads were covered in snow and ice and she had been driving very slowly.
She said: "A car drove towards me on the other side of the road with its headlights on full beam. As it came closer it swerved towards me.

"As a result I swerved inwards towards a grass bank, skidded on the ice and flipped the car."
Emily said the other car did not stop after the incident, but she wasn't sure if the driver had realised she had crashed.
She said: "Fortunately I escaped without any injury and it could have been a lot worse.
"I was in massive shock at the time though and had to be treated by an ambulance crew for around two hours.
"I'm angry that I have had to claim on my insurance.
"I had only bought the car in November for £8,000 and it was only two years old."
Emily said she still felt shaken by the incident and hadn't driven since.
She added: "I'd like to say a big thank you to the couple who stopped and helped me get out of the car.
"They also let me sit in their car until the police arrived, but I didn't get the chance to thank them."

“That is really unfortunately and extremely angrifying, how she has to claim on her insurance for what they will deem an "at-fault" accident when it sounds like it was the other driver who was in the wrong. My full sympathy.”
