TWO women from an architect company based in Holsworthy are running for charities in the London Marathon.

Liz Higgins and Sarah Burnard from Trewin Design Partnership have been preparing for the 26-mile run on Sunday April 25.

Liz, the office manager who has worked there for more than 20 years, will be running on behalf of Asthma UK.

She suffers from the illness as do many other members of her family.

Liz said: "The shocking truth is it kills one person every six hours."

Sarah, who has also worked for the practice for 14 years, will be running on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Research Centre (MSRC).

This is a charity close to Sarah's heart as her father-in-law suffers from the illness. MSRC is a charity providing information and advice to sufferers.

You can sponsor the girls at www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/tdpmarathongirls or by forwarding a cheque made payable to Asthma UK or MSRC.

“Good luck to both Sarah and Liz, these ladies are training really hard. 26.2 miles is no walk in the park.
Hope you both enjoy the experience.”

    “Good luck Ladies,
Having run 37 marathons myself, I know how hard training can be. I will call into the office to make a donation.
    Martin, Holsworthy.”
