Woolacombe's Narracott apartments to be painted ahead of hotel refurbishment
THE facelift of a Woolacombe hotel has been pre-empted by people who own the neighbouring apartments.
The Narracott Hotel, on Beach Road, has been earmarked for development for the past five years and now plastic sheets are covering the Narracott apartments in preparation of them being painted.

The developers of the The Narracott Hotel itself Blast Properties, are still waiting for planning permission before work can begin on the main site.
But in the meantime the painting and structural enhancement of the adjacent apartments signals the start of the major project which is set to start in April.

Joe Jackson, the company secretary of Narracott Management Limited, a resident management company for the apartments said it is great news for the village.
He said: "The hotel has been such an eyesore and the apartments will be the first bit of the whole refurbishment project.
"Blast Ltd's project is huge and this work on the apartments is just something to help that.
"The apartments are being painted white, which will be the same as the hotel and the penthouses when they are completed.
"The painting is due to start on Monday and will be finished by Easter.
"We are hoping there will be a swift transition between the work on the apartments finishing and the work on the hotel starting."
Once the refurbishment is completed The Narracott Hotel will have 32 bedrooms and four penthouse apartments on the top floor as well as 44 holiday apartments at the rear of the hotel.
