Work completed at Barnstaple Crematorium
Engineering works at the North Devon Crematorium in Barnstaple are now complete, North Devon Council has said.
Work to install new cremators and a small extension to the rear of the building began in February.

The crematorium remained operational throughout the works and efforts were made to keep disruption to a minimum. No noisy work was carried out during services.
Chairman of the North Devon Crematorium Joint Committee, Councillor Simon Inch, says: "I'm pleased to see that the engineering upgrade is now complete. Carrying out work like this to such a sensitive building is a challenge and my thanks go to the staff and contractors, who made sure that everything was done as smoothly as possible so that disruption for visitors was kept to an absolute minimum."
