Workmates join forces to make Nightwalk a success
ONE OF North Devon's biggest charity events is expanding.
Nightwalk, now in its fourth year, invites women from all over the region to descend on the moonlit Tarka Trail in the name of charity.

The walk, which will take place on May 22, raises money for Macmillan and North Devon Hospice through sponsorship money.
Now the event, which hopes to attract more walkers than ever, will feature four new routes for those eager to take on the challenge.
Walkers can sample a new five-mile stretch between Braunton and Barnstaple, in either direction.
Those really wanting to put their best foot forward can also attempt a new 16-mile stretch between Bideford and Braunton, also available in both directions.
The two trusty routes between Barnstaple and Bideford, which were pounded by more than 1,500 people last year, will still be open for walkers.
Gerard Fawcitt, from North Devon Hospice's fundraising department, said: "We always try to offer something new to our loyal walkers.
"Offering a route between Braunton and Barnstaple seemed like a natural step because it is such a beautiful stretch of the Tarka Trail.
"The 16-mile stretch between Bideford and Braunton is something which was requested by many ladies who have taken part in the past — and it is already proving to be very popular."

Worker Linda Norris said: "We have taken part in Nightwalk before and can't wait until this year's event because it's such good fun.
"Our factory backs right onto the Tarka Trail so it will be lovely to stroll past at night time with a big group of girls from work.
"I'd encourage anyone out there to get a team together from your work place — it's really nice to be walking with workmates."
Gerard said walking in a team with colleagues had always been a popular way of taking part in Nightwalk.
"The work of Macmillan Cancer Support and the North Devon Hospice is absolutely vital — there are few people in North Devon who have not been touched by life-threatening illnesses," said Gerard.
"The sponsorship money raised through Nightwalk will make a real difference to the lives of local people."
