Five applying to become force's chief constable
FIVE people have applied to become Devon and Cornwall Police's new chief constable, and interviews will take place on January 15.
The names of the five individuals, however, will not be revealed ahead of the interviews, the force said.
The five-strong selection panel includes the new police and crime commissioner Tony Hogg and Cornwall Council chief executive Kevin Lavery. The appointment will be subject to a confirmation hearing by the force's Police and Crime Panel on February 8.
