Recycled glass from Combe Martin beach is turned into works of art

Anne Devilleand Lesley Ennis have started a business called Furn-art-ure.
They collect the smooth glass washed up on Combe Martin beach to make mosaics, and then sell them on as quirky art.
And last week the duo presented their latest creation, a mosaic of Combe Martin School's emblem, to the school to be hung in the main entrance.
Anne said: "It was Lesley's idea to start doing this, she was walking along the beach one day and had an epiphany.
"I think it's because, being a townie from London, she perhaps appreciates what we take for granted, and perhaps notices things local people don't.
"It's all locally collected, and we see it as a way of bringing the outside inside.
"We take commissions as well as making our own creations."
Combe Martin School's deputy head teacher Gail Holmes was thrilled with the gift and said: "It's absolutely beautiful, and all made free of charge from recycled Combe Martin glass."
