The female driver, believed to be the only occupant of the vehicle, was out of the car when emergency services arrived.
She was checked over by paramedics but police said she was not injured.
A structural engineer from West Devon Council was called to the scene to assess the stability of the buildings.
The car was unable to be moved from the doorways of the properties until the engineer deemed the area safe.
After several hours, police confirmed the stability of the building was safe enough for the crews to remove the vehicle from the entrance of the properties.
The extent and cost of damage to the properties is unknown at this stage.
