And North Devon played its part as the side went through the season unbeaten.
Four girls from the area featured in the winning team: Emily Ward, of Filleigh Cricket Club, Braunton CC's Catherine Mitcham, Clare Reynolds and Anna Cherrington, who both play for Hatherleigh CC. They took 50 wickets between them this summer.
Devon beat Yorkshire by 22 runs in the final, played at Clifton CC in Derbyshire.
Having posted 107-8 off their 30 overs, Devon restricted Yorkshire to 85-9, with Rebecca Bertrand taking 5-17 off six overs.
Catherine's brother Tom played for the Devon Under-15s team that lost their final by one run to Middlesex.
The county's under-15 girls beat Wales by 59 runs to take their title.
