“Using a special offer I ordered a valentines card online for my partner and it was completely free with free delivery. Also we are going out for a meal tonight because tommorow on valentines day all the restaurants are charging a lot extra for their "valentines" menu yet today we can take advantage of all the normal special offers and have the same food for a fraction of the cost. I don't go out to get ripped off no matter what day of the year it is.”

“£40 is a bit cheap if you ask me.
By the time that you buy the card, the flowers, the meal etc it's probably closer to £100.
I don't think it's over rated, it gives people a gentle reminder that it's a good time to treat the one you love. You might not need a prompt but we are mostly very busy people so it's nice to make a special effort on that day to remind the ones we love how much we love them.
Bangtastic i think you are being a bit cynical and with an attitude like yours I would be surprised if there was someone for you to buy for anyway!!”

“Nearly £40 on Valentine's Day??? What a WASTE of money! Completely overrated. Basically just a day for card shops to earn ££££££££££ from the fools who are conned by this rubbish. Surely if you love someone/care about someone you should show/tell them all year round - not just on one overrated, over-commercialised day?”
