“Just goes to show that the workshy layabouts just wanted a day off rather than any real attempt at a protest.”

“Yep, couldn't agree more! While those on strike themselves were able to go shopping or do whatever other self-indulgent activities they like, the selfish and needless actions of those with MORE financial security than us self-employed or public sector people could evr dare to dream of, caused us to take days off work AGAINST OUR WILL to look after infant children, losing a day's pay through no choice of our own. I'm not against strikes in general, but when it's the case of those with large pensions moaning and those with basic state pensions getting on with it, it's physically sickening how selfish and insensitive some people are, they don't know how good they've got it. Even with reduced pensions they're still massively more wealthy and better protected than public sector workers.

My aunt turned up to work at her intensive care ward to be faced with ferral scum taunting her for simply doing her vital job of saving lives. These are "workers" who are supposed to be saving the lives of other human beings. I am SO proud of my aunt for putting the needs of seriously ill people above the issue of a slightly reduced yet still massively secure pension.”

“Agree with both of you. They don't realise how lucky there are, as accom says it maybe a slightly reduced pension but its still more than most people get.”

    “Agree with you all 100%.
accom. How right your second paragraph is, and I am not surprised you are very proud of your courageous Aunt. Well done that lady! It is a pity there are not more like her within the NHS.”
