“No it was the wrong decision. Part of the terms and conditions for which he was hired meant this was part of his contract, so why should he turn it down irrespective of the financial hardship at the moment. The labour government, who allowed the banks to get into this mess , were trying to use it as a political stick, the hypocrites.
One question I have to everyone is this. Would YOU turn down a bonus of a years wages if it were offered to you right now? HONESTLY would you? I know I wouldn't, so why should he be any different.”
“You must be after a wind up BenDover. The guy underperformed, didn't even make the targets set and was a shambles. He deserved to be sacked rather than offered a bonus. It was also tax payers money, so how can you justify the bonus, get with the real world mate.”
