A father lovingly remembered
Jacqui Dankworth Duo
Plough Arts Centre, Torrington
-

ATMOSPHERIC: Jacqui Dankworth.
Sunday, February 5, 7.30pm
GIVEN her musical pedigree – daughter of Dame Cleo Laine and the late Sir John Dankworth – it's no surprise that Jacqui Dankworth is considered to be "one of the classiest acts in British jazz singing" (The Guardian).
On her latest album, It Happens Quietly, Jacqui presents a selection of lush, atmospheric, orchestral arrangements in collaboration with, and lovingly dedicated to, her late father. The CD is currently riding high in the official album charts and destined to become a classic and a collector's item.
Visitors to see Jacqui at the Plough on Sunday will be able to hear tracks from the album.
Tickets: £17 (full), £15 (concession), £12 (Plough supporter). Box office: 01805 624624.
