Firefighters help disabled man locked out of his flat in Barnstaple

A fire crew from Barnstaple helped a disabled man who was locked out of his flat in Barnstaple earlier today.

The man rang emergency services after he had left his flat in Daniel Court and the door closed behind him, leaving him locked out.

He had allegedly left an appliance on in his flat and his dogs were also locked in.

Firefighters attended the scene at around 4.30pm.
