TWO long-serving members were honoured at North Devon Yacht Club's annual meeting.

David Graham, the commodore, highlighted the dedication of Richard Stone and Tony Pratt.

Stone, of Instow, has served as race officer for many years and was presented with an Ian Hudson watercolour as a mark of thanks from the club.

In future North Devon will present an annual award, the Richard Stone Tankard, to the volunteer who takes his place organising the open week.

Pratt, of Barnstaple, was recognised for his many years as rear commodore and an instructor. He was received life-membership of the club and was re-elected to the committee.

Next year's North Devon Yacht Club open week will run from August 12 to 17. The regatta usually attracts more than 70 boats and competitors from across the country.
