Who remembers the railway?

Thursday, November 05, 2009, 07:00

ILFRACOMBE residents are being invited to share their memories of the town's railway station at an event next week.

Ilfracombe Museum is staging events next Tuesday, November 10, from 7.30pm, and Thursday, November 12, between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

Museum workers want to hear people's memories and stories of the Ilfracombe branch line, which closed in October, 1970.

They are hoping to get previously unseen photos of Ilfracombe station, engines, workmen and passengers.

If you cannot attend but have old pictures of the station contact Ilfracombe Museum on 01271 863541.
