Edwina Hayes has a growing army of admirers
SHE'S been described by top country artist Nanci Griffith as: "A wonderful young woman, so gifted and full of song, with a voice that is as sweet as the angels."
You can hear that angelic voice for yourself when Edwina Hayes (below) plays the Plough Art Centre tomorrow.
Born in Dublin and raised in Lancashire, Edwina's beautifully crafted songs and natural stage presence have seen her play some of the UK's finest stages. Dividing her time between England and America, her second home is Nashville where she is much respected on the song-writing circuit.
Michael Parkinson and Bob Harris have been tremendous supporters of her on BBC Radio 2 and, during the past three years, she has toured the UK three times with Nanci Griffith, opened 26 shows for Jools Holland, played twice with Van Morrison and performed two concerts for Michael Parkinson at his Maidenhead pub.
Tickets: £12 full/£10 concessions/£8 supporters.
