Plough reveals its Spring programme

THE Plough Arts Centre has unveiled its spring programme to reveal a host of accomplished singers and musicians heading this way.

Georgie Fame, Michael Roach, Louise Parker, Maggie Bell with Dave Kelly, Benny Gallagher, Elkie Brooks, Andy Abraham, Edwina Hayes, The Blues Band and local rock 'n' roll group The Atlantics will all make an appearance.

On the theatre front Theatre of Angels perform Legacy, the story of co-founder of Dartington Hall, Dorothy Whitney Elmhirst. You can also enjoy Studio Theatre's version of Dennis Potter's Blue Remembered Hills; Bristol Old Vic Theatre School version of Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles; Illyria's Mowgli by Rudyard Kipling and A Midsummer Nights Dream by William Shakespeare plus Plough Senior Youth Theatre's Oklahoma!

There are plenty of workshops too: printing courses, musical workshops, painting and sculpture workshops plus many free one day Play In A Day performances held at venues throughout the area.

The season kicks off with Georgie Fame on Sunday April 26.
