ORGANISERS of the now famous village breakfasts in Wheddon Cross are recovering after cooking up 122 breakfasts on Sunday.

The team of volunteers served hearty starts to the day at the highest settlement on Exmoor, as part of the Exmoor Food Festival which finishes this Sunday.

Organiser Sally Parish, who has run the event for five years, said: "It was great to see so many familiar faces from the last few years."

Breakfasts will be available from 8am to midday at the Moorland Hall again this Sunday, and cost £6 for adults, £4 for children. There is no need to book. A vegetarian option is available. For further details contact 01643 841891.
