2012 has certainly been an eventful year in North Devon and across the country.
We had the Olympics in London and we experienced some of the euphoria down here when the torch travelled through the area.
We also celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in style across the community.
But the summer's partying must seem like a distant memory to people who have been badly hit by flooding over the festive period. Our heartfelt good wishes go out to all those affected and we hope the New Year brings you better fortune than 2012 left behind.
