A MOORLAND fire in Simonsbath was started deliberately on Sunday afternoon.

Flames stretched across 300 metres of moorland near Lynton Road at 1.24pm.

Crew Manager, Dave Bartlett from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue control room confirmed the fire was arson but described it as "not a large incident."
A crew from Dulverton put the blaze out using a Brendon pump which is a hose on the back of a Land Rover.
