Rock 'n' roll outfit at the Plough

FOR a night of retro glamour, dig out your most outrageous outfit and head to the Plough Arts Centre. Five-piece rock 'n' roll outfit, The Atlantics, are out to create a party to remember. A big, authentic 1950s sound promises to keep the dance floor bouncing all night long.

The North Devon-based band have built a great reputation for their live UK performances appearing at big rock 'n' roll festivals such as Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll in Great Yarmouth.

Their debut CD, Big Beat Boogie, has been receiving international reviews and airplay as far away as America, Australia and Sweden. The band have recently been approached by a record company too — watch this space.

Expect hits by Little Richard, Bill Haley and Fats Domino plus plenty of upbeat songs written by The Atlantics themselves. You don't need to be able to jive to go along but you might find it a challenge to stand still.

As well as the live music, there will also be a DJ spinning classic rock 'n' roll.
